About the pieceComposed: Durham, June 1987 Revised: May 1988 Performed: Never. (Almost accepted for Huddersfield CMF (too long); accepted for performance in University of York Music Project, but withdrawn.) The String Sextet was originally written as an entry for the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival's 1987 Composition Competition. It was submitted under the title Still Life. |
