Write a piece that has no rhythm at all!
If you think about this, it probably isn't possible at all, but at least we can try.
Theoretically, a piece can have movement, but no rhythm. The composer Gyorgy Ligeti has attempted this in a number of his pieces from the 1960s and 1970s. Also, some of the more experimental American composers - Morton Feldman, for instance, may have come close.
Think about what rhythm is. Is it the same as pulse? What about syncopation. What would it mean if you had music without rhythm. Would it have no perceptible pulse, or would it have to have no pulse at all, perceptible or not? How would you 'conduct', or 'direct' such a piece?
Good luck!
