FAQ:
1. In our final performance, do we have to use Isadora, noTours and everything
we have covered?
No, we cover a lot of techniques and ideas for your education but it is up to
you to choose what resources are most appropriate to express your idea.
2. Do our projects have to show technical complexity? If we use simple things
will it affect our marks?
No, often the simplest ideas are the best! what we do need is for you to use new
media in some imaginative way. Nobody will get marks just for complexity!
3. Does everybody in a group get the same mark for their performance? what if
some people don't pull their weight?
Everybody in a group may indeed get the same mark, but we are asking for
each group to create a list of duties assigned to each member in order to track
what people did in producing their piece. This will help us decide how to adjust
marks. You should bring it in on the day you perform
4. What is the essay about?
The essay is about your critical views on the use of new media in
theatrical/musical performance as it applies to the performance your group has
created. It should be of 1500 words (max) and include the following points:
a) an explanation of your role within the group
b) an account of the creative technologies you used
c) reference(s) to other works in the repertoire that served as inspiration or
to which your piece ended up being related
d) possible avenues for future development of the ideas you implemented in your
performance
